Weyerhaeuser Pembina 2017-2026 Forest Management Plan

The Weyerhaeuser Pembina 2017-2026 Forest Management Plan (FMP) was developed for Forest Management Unit (FMU) R15 to guide forest management activities over the associated 10 year period.

The FMP comprises three Volumes: Volume I includes the Executive Summary, Glossary & Acronym List, Chapters 1 (Overview), 2 (FMP Development), 3 (Landscape Assessment), 4 (Previous FMPs), 5 (VOITs), 6 (PFMS), and 7 (Implementation). Volume II includes Annexes I (Forest Management Agreement), II (Terms of Reference), III (Public Involvement), IV (Consultation), V (Stewardship), and VI (Net Landbase). Volume III includes Annexes VII (Growth and Yield), VIII (Growth and Yield Program), IX (Timber Supply Analysis), and X (Spatial Harvest Sequence).

The final version of the FMP was submitted to the Government of Alberta on March 19, 2018, and was officially approved on September 24, 2018.

General Development Plan

This General Development Plan (GDP) provides a five-year projection of proposed harvest areas and production objectives for all wood supply sources being delivered to Weyerhaeuser’s Drayton Valley and Edson facilities. Also included is an Access Development Plan.

Annual Operating Plan (AOP)

The Annual Operating Plan (AOP) represents the Weyerhaeuser Company Limited – Pembina Timberlands proposed operations for the current operating year for FMA0900046, DTAW160002, and CTQR150006.

The AOP is divided into two separate parts:

Part I – General Information: this includes introductory information relevant to all operating areas (e.g. general provisions, woods operations, etc.).

Part II – Weyerhaeuser Pembina FMA: provides the Landscape Management Unit specific operational information (e.g. production, block listing, road and crossing requirements, maps, etc.)
